Available paintings

  • Lucy Mathers' painting called Maple flame

    Autumn leaves paintings

Early October, leaves of all colours falling on the ground. My daughter collected several - and a stick - on the way home from school, after her class took a walk to inspire their autumn poetry! Those leaves inspired my subject for these affordable small paintings.

  • Lucy Mathers' painting called Caribbean Chicken representing the series of water glass paintings

    Water glass paintings

I am attracted to the shapes I see in my water glass while I wait for my kids to finish their dinner; the reflections and refractions and how they change due to how much water is in the glass or what objects are nearby.

  • Insitu photo of Lucy Mathers' still life mini paintings

    Original prints & small paintings

Mostly created using a gel printing plate. These small affordable paintings can be mounted onto cradled wooden panels or shipped with mount and backing board ready for framing.

  • Lucy Mathers' painting the sage 2 representing the sage building paintings

    The Sage building paintings

Semi-abstract paintings that explore the juxtaposition between geometric structures found within the organic bubbly building shape of the Sage Building in Gateshead, UK.

About me

I love patterns, shapes, lines and texture… how are my paintings influenced by the things I see in the world around me?

Your paintings are gorgeous Lucy. There is a really lovely 'feel' about them. And oh the colours and compositions!
