Two mini landscapes
These two took their little time to tell me what they needed. Daedal (which means intricate, by the way, like the branches of a tree) had to have a bit of a make over, but playing with the inktense pencil (like a watercolour pencil but with ink pigment) and water spray watching the tendril like forms become mini trees gave me new inspiration. Solitude was took a little while to nestle into the hills and find it’s own colour scheme.
These mini landscapes are 6” square but could make a big impact on your wall or even a shelf! They are my most mixed media pieces so far as each contains a small amount of fabric which handles the other media differently to the paper, collage and paint. Pattern is inevitable, I love that it helps form the landscape in solitude and provides repeated comfort in daedal.
